ingredients

1 1 lb. salmon filet, skin on

2 garlic cloves, finely minced

2 Tbsp. honey

1 Tsp. brown sugar

2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

1 Tbsp. Soy sauce

2 Tsp. olive oil

1/8 Tsp. Calabrian chili flakes

Salt & Pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Put the salmon filet on a tin foil or parchment lined baking sheet. Salt and pepper the filet.

2. Mix the remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
3. Spoon or brush the glaze all over the top of the fish….coat it well.
4. Place under the broiler in your oven (about 6 inches from the heat source). Cook until desired doneness. 5-6 minutes for medium rare. 10 minutes for completely cooked through. Do check your fish since different ovens will cook at different temperatures. Cut into the middle of the fish to be sure it is cooked to your desired doneness.

NOTE: This is a great midweek meal. It is easy and fast. However, I serve this to company all the time so it can be a real elegant meal served with roasted asparagus and a rice pilaf.
