Pineapple and Blueberry Sangria
Looking for an amazing cocktail that tastes more like a dessert than a drink? This is it. My chocolate, espresso and cream shake is magic and gets an extra kick from the artisanal espresso balsamic vinegar from Patricia and Paul. This is a grownup milkshake perfect for summer days by the pool.
This drink is easy to make and simply requires you to mix everything with ice in a shaker and shake at least 60 seconds to get it ice cold. Strain it into a tall glass filled with ice and you are ready for one yummy drink. The additional of the chocolate covered espresso beans is like getting a treat at the bottom of a Cracker Jacks box. I’m able to buy small bags of these at Starbucks but you can also buy them at Trader Joe’s and right online.
If you haven’t tried Chocolate liqueur, it is really a great liqueur to have in your bar. There are several great brands available. Godiva make a great one as does Dorda (the one I used in this recipe). You can find both at your local liquor store or grocery store. They are rich and decadent and work great when mixed with the vodka, cream and balsamic vinegar in this recipe. You can also serve as a cordial with your dessert course.
Obviously, the dark balsamic espresso vinegar is the surprise ingredient in this drink. Balsamic vinegar is sweet and has the acidity that wakes up this drink. People won’t know what it is but will say this tastes different…and in a good way. Give it a try.
