Orange-Tangerine Drop Martini
My pineapple and blueberry sangria is going to become one of your go-to drinks this summer. Make big pitchers of these and serve at BBQs, family gatherings and picnics. It is so refreshing and the flavor combo really works.
I recommend that you use fresh blueberries and pineapple since they are both in season but feel free to use frozen if that is what you have on hand. The basil is a nice summer surprise. While many would grab the mint, basil goes incredibly well with pineapple and brightens the whole drink up.
I finished the drink with some club soda (seltzer) but some sparkling water would also work…maybe even a pineapple flavored sparkling water. I just thought of that as I was typing up this recipe. I think I’ll try that next time.
If you are making this for a party, I’d mix everything except the seltzer and wait for the guests to arrive. Then add the seltzer so it is nice and bubbly. I add some berries and pineapple to each glass, fill with the sangria and top with a few basil leaves. It is just so delicious. If you like this recipe, be sure to try some of my other pitcher cocktails.
