ingredients

1 Lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 Oz. linguine

2 Cups of Fresh Tomato Sauce (see recipe here)

Fresh basil

Freshly grated Parmesan (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add linguine and cook per the package instructions.

2. Make the sauce per the instructions in the recipe. Add the shrimps (with added salt and pepper to taste) and cook the shrimp in the sauce until cooked through (about 5 minutes).

3. Drain the pasta and add to the sauté pan with the fresh tomato sauce and shrimp. Toss until everything is coated and well distributed. Serve on plates and garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if using.

NOTE: This dish goes so well with my Fresh Tomato Sauce. The whole meal comes together really fast and is absolutely delicious. Because there are so few ingredients, make sure you are using the best shrimp and the freshest tomatoes in your sauce. It will pay off in taste. There is always the debate about whether to add cheese to seafood dishes. I love cheese and add it to this pasta but you do not have to. You decide. Again, use the best cheese and grate or shave it right as you are serving it. This recipe is easily doubled or tripled for bigger parties. Enjoy.
