Cheesy Pull Bread is one of my favorite things to serve when grilling or hosting a BBQ. It can get messy so where better to pull bread, watch those delicious cheese pulls and get some crumbs everywhere than at a BBQ? You’ll be making this one over and over again. You can make it your own by adding fresh herbs or different cheeses. Sometimes, I add red pepper flakes to the butter or top with sliced green onion. You also might want to try my Chorizo Queso Stuffed Bread on the grill…another fabulous option with hosting a BBQ.
To get started, let’s get the grill or oven heated. Heat up the grill or get your oven to 375 degrees.
Mix the butter, garlic, salt and pepper in a small dish. Microwave until melted (about 20 seconds). Put to the side.
Cut a diagonal pattern in the top of the bread cutting about 1 ½ inches into the bread loaf. Spread the sections with your fingers to make room for the cheese. Put slices and pieces of cheese in between all the cut sections being sure to cover the whole top of the bread so everyone gets some cheese when they pull a piece.
Brush the whole loaf with the garlic butter (use all of it). Then sprinkle the Parmesan all over the loaf.
Wrap in tinfoil and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is all melted.
Serve right in the open tinfoil package if it is a BBQ or put on a plate and let your guests pull their perfect, cheesy piece!
