Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 Oz. Dry gin
  • 4 Tsps. Grenadine
  • 1 Large egg white
  • 2 Strips of lemon zest and 2 maraschino cherries, to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Put two coupe glasses in the fridge to chill. Pour the gin and grenadine into a cocktail shaker, then fill with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels ice-cold. (A full 2 minutes.)  Strain the mixture into another empty shaker.
  • ut the egg white into the shaker and pour in the gin mixture. Shake well until the egg white is frothy.  You can do this in a blender for fast and easy results. I’ll often use the blender if making multiple cocktails – this recipe is easily doubled and tripled.  Pour the cocktail into the prepared glasses.  Add the cherry and lemon strip to your drink and enjoy.
