TOTAL TIME:

INGREDIENTS

1 750 ml bottle of rose wine

3 Cups frozen watermelon chunks

1 Cup frozen raspberries

3 Oz vodka

3 Oz Limoncello

2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice from one large lemon

4 Tbsp. Simple syrup

DIRECTIONS

1. Freeze the rose in ice cube trays overnight. NOTE: the cubes won’t freeze solid since there is alcohol but will be frozen enough to make a great frozen drink.

2. Freeze the watermelon chunks on a sheet pan for two hours (or overnight with the wine). You can put these in a zip lock bag or freezer safe container until you are ready to make your drinks.

3. Place the frozen rose chunks, frozen watermelon chunks, vodka, Limoncello, lemon juice and simple syrup into a blender.

4. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and pourable. Pour into your favorite glasses and garnish with a watermelon wedge and fresh mint. Enjoy.

NOTE: This is my take on the famous Frose cocktail you’ll see everywhere. Adding the raspberries gives it a nice tart twinge and the Limoncello kicks up the lemon flavor. You can freeze the fruit and put them into bags way in advance. Take note, you can’t store your wine cubes in baggies since they aren’t quite frozen so keep those in the trays until ready to use. Enjoy this fun drink…..I know your guests will.
