A snowy Christmas cocktail is somewhere between an elegant cocktail and dessert.  It is sweet and creamy and pretty to look at.  Be sure to use good quality vodka and amaretto liqueur.

To make homemade whipped cream, beat ½ cup of heavy cream and one tablespoon of confectioners sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Spoon whipped cream on the top of the drink. For a little extra pizzazz, put the whipped cream in a pastry bag with a star tip and pipe onto the drink.

If you don’t have coup glasses on hand, a small martini glass would work just fine.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 Oz. Good quality Vodka
  • 1 Oz. Amaretto Liquor
  • 1 Oz. Heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp. Whipped Cream
  • Grated nutmeg for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Add ice to a shaker and add the vodka, amaretto and heavy cream. Shake for a full minute and strain into a coup glass. Top with whipped cream and freshly ground nutmeg. Enjoy!
