Being a food and travel blogger has its perks. Whether I’m offered a free trip, a free product or an invite to a restaurant, I’m always surprised and very thankful that retailers, hotels and restaurants consider me when looking for bloggers to try their products and share my opinion. I’ve been getting tons of offers from brands asking me to promote their products on the blog and on social media.
Here’s the thing, I’m picky. I’m only going to promote products I use and love. That’s my rule. I’m not going to be talking about a product that is “so-so” or one that doesn’t WOW me. I feel if I stay true to that, I can bring you my best recommendations and attract the best possible products to my little piece of the internet. That means, I can share the best offers with you and bring value to my followers. Sharing products and promotions I don’t personally use or like will NEVER be seen on my blog, in my newsletters or on my social media.
With that said, I’m going to be adding a new email blast each month with the latest deals, promotions and offerings from the brands and companies I love. If they aren’t offering anything fabulous, you won’t hear from me. Period. So, when you see that email hit your inbox, open it and trust me, it will be packed with offers you will want to review and consider.
With Amazon’s Prime Days coming up on July 11th and 12th and Nordstrom Sales Days kicking in on July 13th and other brands like KitchenAid having Black Friday in July, this is a great month to shop. If you are in the market for deals, keep reading.
As you know, I’ve had my KitchenAid Stand Mixer for 20 years. The quality can’t be beat. It is an investment, but you only have to buy one. So if you are in the market, check out the crazy sales they are having this week. KitchenAid sales end July 15th, so don’t wait. The Classic Series 4.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is on sale now for $50 off. The Artisan Mini 3.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is on sale for $80 savings. Their K400 Variable Speed Blender is on sale too, with a whopping $80 savings.
One of my favorite stores for unique gifts, especially around the holidays, is MacKenzie-Childs and guess what? They are also having a July sale. You know I’m starting my shopping early this year (I even snuck in an early gift for myself…lol). Check out some of my favs. I’ve already ordered this flowered green bowl (which goes with the flowered colander I got last year). I love the flowered pitcher which can be used for serving liquids but also would work great as a vase. Their classic crosswalk frame is on sale at 50% off – a steal.
Meanwhile, over at Nordstrom, there are tons of sales on clothes, jewelry and cosmetics. But, I was on the hunt for deals for the home, and in particular, the kitchen. Look what I found: LeCreuset’s 4.5 Quart Dutch Oven on sale with a $135 savings (Yes, please.) and this amazing 10.5 inch Cast Iron Chef’s pan on sale for just $59.99 (It will be $199 after the sale…SCORE!)
Over at Bloomingdales they are offering a couple of deals on things I’ve been eyeing for a while, like their Green Pan 10-piece Reserve Blush Healthy Ceramic Nonstick Cookware. I think it will be perfect this summer at BBQs. Then I’m totally crushing on these adorable hot dog plates (shaped just like the paper ones!). They are on sale and just look like fun!
While it isn’t on sale, I’ve been wanting one of these outdoor pizza ovens for a couple of years. This Ooni Karu 12 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven is reasonably priced and compact, so it will work in small spaces. It is an excellent brand and it may still be coming home with me this summer. Check it out.
As you know, I’m a big fan of Zwilling and their products (Staub cast iron and ceramic goods and Zwilling cutlery) and guess what? They are running a major sale this week too. For the past several months, I’ve been working with alternative flours. I’ve used them in everything from Gluten-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes, to Spelt and Oatmeal Cookies to Cauliflower Parmesan. I’ve made whole grain salads like Wheat Berry Vegetable Salad with Dried Fruit and Walnuts and side dishes like Fonio with Pistachios and Apricots. I have loved using all of them and the fact that they are all so much better for me than all-purpose white flour has just been a bonus. I had no idea there were so many other options and that those options tasted great.
