This is one the easiest and most delicious ideas I’ve ever seen on Instagram and/or TikTok. The sensation started in Finland and is officially recognized on February 4 as Uunifetapasta (Baked Feta Pasta) Day! Since I love Feta Cheese (and who doesn’t love pasta), it was a no brainer for me to try it. I combined several ideas from several sources to come up with this version, which includes lemon zest to cut the heavy cheese, fresh basil or oregano to freshen up the dish and calabrian chilies because I’m a fan of Bobby Flay’s #1 pepper. I’m sure any type of fresh pepper would work but the original author of this recipe in Finland says you must use chili. So here it is….enjoy.
This dish comes together pretty quickly and is perfect for mid-week meals and for entertaining. I’ve also made a version of this with Lamb Meatballs and Baked Feta Pasta that is also delicious. Give that a try for a fabulous Sunday Dinner or a WOW dish for guests.
I should tell you, this is a very rich dish so having it on the side of some grilled shrimp or fish, would really make it a great side dish too. Do you like Greek food? If so, be sure to try my Greek Lettuce cups and my Greek Style Shrimp, Feta and Orzo
Baked Feta Pasta (uunifetapasta)
Here is my take on the tictoc sensation. It is easy and absolutely delicious. There is a reason it to social media by storm and here it is again made simple for you.

- ¼ – ½ Tsp. Calabrian Chili Flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Block Feta cheese (about 8 oz.)
- 2 Tsps. Dried oregano
- Zest of one lemon
- 8 Oz. Rotelle or Penne Pasta
