3 1/2 Oz. Dry gin
4 Tsps. Grenadine
1 large egg white
2 Strips of lemon zest and 2 maraschino cherries, to garnish (optional)
1. Put two coupe glasses in the fridge to chill. Pour the gin and grenadine into a cocktail shaker, then fill with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels ice-cold. (A full 2 minutes.) Strain the mixture into another empty shaker.
2. Put the egg white into the shaker and pour in the gin mixture. Shake well until the egg white is frothy. You can do this in a blender for fast and easy results. I’ll often use the blender if making multiple cocktails – this recipe is easily doubled and tripled. Pour the cocktail into the prepared glasses. Add the cherry and lemon strip to your drink and enjoy.
